Ironvale Legions
★★★★★ 4.6
Ironvale Legions is the strategy title we kept coming back to this month. You build up a fortified valley, manage a handful of resources, and send out armies that you actually have to arrange carefully. Blob everyone forward and you lose; think in formations and it clicks.
The campaign paces itself well. Early maps teach you the basics without a wall of tutorials, and by the mid-game you're juggling defence, expansion, and the occasional raid. We appreciated that the difficulty curve respects your time.
The touch controls are the highlight. Selecting and grouping units on a small screen usually feels clumsy, but Ironvale nails it with smart drag gestures. It's rare that a mobile strategy game feels this precise.
What we liked
- Formations genuinely matter
- Clean touch-based unit control
- Fair difficulty ramp
